Consuming Fire lyrics
Artist - Tim Hughens
Verse 1:
There must be more than this
oh breath of God come breath within
There must be more than this
Spirit of God we wait for you
Lord let your glory fall
Lord let your glory fall
Chorus:
Consuming Fire
Fan into flame
a passion for your name
Spirit of God
fall in this place
Lord have your way
Lord have your way
with us
Verse 2:
Come like a rushing wind
Fill us with power from on high
Now set the captives free
leave us abandoned to your praise
Lord let your glory fall
Lord let your glory fall
FROM THE INSIDE OUT Lyrics - [ Joel Houston)
A thousand times I’ve failed, still Your mercy remains
And should I stumble again, still I’m caught in Your grace
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame [Intro]
Your will above all else, my purpose remains
The art of losing myself, in bringing You praise
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart, in my soul, Lord I give You control
Consume me from the inside out, Lord
Let justice and praise, become my embrace
To love You from the inside out
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart, is to bring You praise
From the inside out, Lord my soul cries out
From the inside out, Lord my soul cries out, Lord
These are 2 of my favorite songs that we sing at church. WE song them tonight after the sermon and they meant a lot to me this week because I recommitted my life to Christ tonight.I have been straying for a while and knew it, so tonight I made the decision and it felt really good.
Tonight the sermon was on"Jesus and the Freak"Which was John the Baptist. It was on Luke7:18-28. The last verse is my favorite it says "For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he." I love that verse.Another point our pastor made was that John was a "good man",but he still was put in a place he didn't want to be.Just an interesting thing to think about.

Hey, So glad your mom put a link to your blog in her blog. I don't get to read it often (it's usually blocked and I can't open the page), I love catching up and seeing how you are growing. I think about you often.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your thoughts and the songs.

ReplyDeleteDidn't know you had your own blog until I was on your family blog and found it. Great job. Congratulations on rededicating your life to Christ. Grandma is so proud of you. You are such a beautiful young lady and have such a tender heart for others and the Lord. I know God has something special for you when you grow up. I love you very much and look forward to seeing you at the end of February.
